Why another site about Home Businesses?

The answer is that we all have some or other time tried to start a home business and the thing is that the internet and newspapers are full of schemes stating that if you join them it will change your life for ever and you will always make money even when you stop selling their product after 10 or 20 years. Well it is true if you get involved in some sort of pyramid scheme. The guy you sign up to join underneath you will also sell the same products and part of his income will then come to you. And when he signs up some one part of his income will go the the guy underneath you and also to you. Wow I mean then how can you not make money. Just sign up some people and sit back, let them do all the selling.

This is not a bad way to make a living and it works, the only issue I have is that when you want to join they usually direct you to this massive long website that you need to read and at the end you enter your name and email address so that someone can contact you. But after reading this very-very long introduction, you still don't know what you will be selling so you wait for the agent to contact you. After a day or two you get this important email that the agent wants to meet you and after emailing back and forth for about another week you find out that you need to pay x amount to join and will be selling either very expensive cleaning or health products or either life insurance or a magazine or etc.  Now to sell a product you at least need to use it yourself and some of these product are just to expensive for me to afford, so why would I want to sell it to someone else. If you are selling life insurance you need to have the talent of a broker and not everyone has the talent to convince someone to buy something, especially if he already has four life insurance policies.

If you want to go the other way and start a franchise you will need lots and lost of capital. Maybe you have some capital, but is it enough? Do you have at least R500 grand laying around just to buy a franchise and start making money? Well the answer to some fortunate people might be yes, but I think to the average Joe or Jill working from 8 am to 5 pm the answer is no. Okay, so you have a brilliant idea, you don’t have the capital but you know this thing will work. So you go out there and look for financing, but they all say sorry if the business is not older than 3 years at least: "We can’t help you". I mean how can you start a business if you don’t have money to run it for three years to get money. Its like a hole your in and can’t get out.

I then thought, why not start it at home. Okay unfortunately you will have to keep your 8 to 5 job, else how are you going to feed your wife/husband and kids. Yes starting a business is going to eat lots of your spare time but that is how it is. You don’t get results if you don’t work for it. There is no get quick rich scheme that works. No legal one that I know of. But think if you work from home your overheads will be minimum.

But what about product design, development, prototyping, advertising, etc. Well this is where we get into the picture. HBI is there to help you, from design issues, developing a prototype to product advertising. What we will do is, help make your dream a reality.

So what is the catch. The only catch is that you must register with HBI (but for free), which will enable you to advertise your product on our product page. And when ever you sell your product you must advertise HBI by means of "word of mouth". By doing so it will ensure the client of a nationally recognizable product and will also ensure that the HBI network grows giving its agents a bigger and bigger range of products to sell. In other words if you want to make a sale, you don't have to nag the person to buy a specific thing, since your product range is going to grow so big you will soon be able to open your own HBS, home based store. Enabling you to keep a minimum of stock to dispense quick and easy.
